Psalm 29 speaks of the mighty power of God's voice—how it thunders, breaks trees, shakes the wilderness, and strips the forests bare.
In October 2012, Hurricane Sandy directly hit New Jersey (USA). "It was the largest Atlantic hurricane on record as measured by diameter, with tropical storm-force winds spanning 1,150 miles (1,850 km)."*After that devastating storm, I captured this image in a heavily wooded location some 50 miles (80.5 km) inland. It depicts the storm's tremendous destructive power to areas well beyond the coast. Such a powerful storm, like Psalm 29, reminds man of his smallness amongst forces much greater than himself.
